Frequently Asked Questions

If your question is not answered here, ask it directly. We would rather give you a specific answer than a vague one.

Is there a minimum production requirement?
We look for loan officers with at least six closed loans during the trailing 12 months. Production history is reviewed during the recruiting conversation as one input among several.
Do I need to generate my own business?
Yes. This platform is built for experienced, self-generated licensed loan officers who own their referral relationships. The internal lead program is a supplement, not a replacement.
Are you only recruiting in Houston?
Lock It Lending, powered by Swift Home Loans, is licensed in 49 states plus the District of Columbia. We are not currently licensed in New York. State, product and channel eligibility are confirmed for each transaction, and your own licensing is reviewed during onboarding.
Can I broker and also do correspondent?
Broker and correspondent channels may be available based on current company approvals, product eligibility and investor requirements. Channel selection is decided per file rather than set once.
What processing support do I get?
Our processing team includes former mortgage underwriters, which helps surface documentation and condition issues earlier. Processing support does not guarantee approval, closing speed or any particular outcome.
What is the company fee?
The company fee is $750 per funded loan. Other charges may apply based on the approved role, channel, transaction and written agreement.
Are there other costs beyond that fee?
There can be. Costs can vary by file, system, transaction and approved role. Exact economics are set out in an approved written agreement and reviewed with you directly before anything is agreed.
Will I receive company-generated leads?
Independent Loan Officers may receive company-generated borrower leads through Lock It Lending's internal lead-distribution program. Lead availability and volume are not guaranteed. We do not promise lead quality, conversion, quantity, frequency, geography or income.
Which lenders and products can I access?
Depending on current approvals and eligibility, product categories may include conventional, government, jumbo, DSCR and investor, bank statement, non-QM, HELOC and second lien, and foreign national or ITIN. Current availability depends on lender approval, state, transaction, borrower eligibility and program guidelines. Request approved lender information from an authorized Lock It Lending representative; the current directory is not published on this public website.
What about my state licensing?
Individual loan officer licensing and sponsorship requirements remain part of onboarding. Company licensure does not by itself determine which states you can personally originate in.
Can I be W-2 or 1099?
W-2 and 1099 structures may be available depending on the approved position and written agreement. Classification is determined by the actual approved arrangement, not chosen freely. Lock It Lending does not provide tax or legal advice.
Is Spanish-language support available during recruiting?
Yes. Spanish-language support is available during the first recruiting conversation if you would like it. Just say so when you reach out.
How is my information handled?
Candidate-specific information is handled through direct contact with an authorized Lock It Lending representative. There is no account, code or candidate login active on this website today, and we do not publish candidate information.
How do I start a conversation?
Use the request option on the schedule page. Daniela or another authorized Lock It Lending representative handles the initial recruiting conversation.
